21st Century Learning
In the twentieth century, a number of important events have taken place in education. In the light of these events, the educational understanding of today's world has changed radically. All nations of the world have been affected by this change. These developments, which are the cornerstone of educational programs and educational research activities, have led to different schools of thought. All these developments have finally moved into the 21st century. In this century, we see the effects of the globalized world in general. These effects are shaped by technology, cultural interaction and effectiveness. For me, the most characteristic feature of the 21st century is the interpretation of individual approaches together with technological tools and understandings. In this period, any educator, especially in the field of ELT, needs to give high priority to these features. Students have access to too much information. A detailed reflection on how to integrate the teacher into this rapid development should be carried out. My personal view is that the teacher should have a better command of the technology than the students and give them a mentality of responsibility and individual development as a guide on how to use the technology. This is the ultimate essence of the matter.
